My Favourite Uncle Jimmy |
May 14, 2010 |
Since my 3 month visit to America in December 2004, Jimmy, Cathy and the rest of the Kirby's have become an important part of my life and although only related through marriage I have been made to feel part of the family. Where ever we went, including Pathmart where I met almost every shop assistant, I was introduced as "my niece from Scotland".
Jimmy never failed to take me where I needed to go next - the airport, to meet my cousin Carla halfway to Delaware, the bus station, the mall.... On a more recent visit he took me to a local cafe for ice cream. He asked for chocolate Jimmys on his. I asked what chocolate Jimmys were.....need I say more?!!!
The first time he took me to the Naval Acadamy the pride in his Military background shone through as does his pride in his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
This has been a massive shock and I am missing Jimmy more than I thought I could....
My thought are with Cathy and family x

Sorry for your loss |

I am a friend of Ryan's and although I never met his father, I am sure he was as wonderful and great-hearted as Ryan is. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

My Buddy |
May 13, 2010 |
Jimmy and I were cousins and best buddies during our school life. I had not seen him but once since we finished high school in 1959 back in dear old Clinton. I spent a lot of time at his house growing up and was close to all of his brothers and sisters. He was a wonderful individual and my heart and prayers are with the family at this time. Hopefully, my brother Fulton Fryar who lives in Willingboro will be able to attend the services. May God hold you in his tender care as you go about your works during this time. Love to all of the family.
